Sort Code / Account Checker
Checks UK sort codes and account numbers for correct format and a weighted checksum, ahead of a BACS run.
This does format and heuristic checksum checks only — a 6-digit sort code, an 8-digit account number, and a standard modulus-11 weighting. It does not use the banks' official modulus weight table (which varies by sort code range and isn't publicly redistributable), so a row can pass here and still fail a real BACS validation, or vice versa. Treat "flagged" rows as worth a manual look, not as a complete validity guarantee.
